Finally managed to open the cupboard in what will be the study!

But the wall is out.. our first chance to see the size of our new bathroom.

First look at the back garden...

The giant (4 storey tall) bay tree is down, so we finally got to see what the back garden looks like!

Looks like there may be a brick barbecue in among the shrubs towards the rear.

The walls are coming out

This one was in the kitchen / Garden Room:

Ceilings have been ripped out, walls are being stripped

Asbestos

Another day, another issue, another cheque - problem solved: they should be removing the asbestos today!

Took a call from the builder this morning. His team had found asbestos on the site.

I believe it is contained in the eaves of the attic and stacked up from a previous rip out but will need specialist attention! Oh Joy! No idea how much cost or what the time implications are, but the builder seemed optimistic it wasn't going to be a significant problem.

Fingers crossed.

The roof is finished

I went out on the roof this week to tread the scaffolding boards and admire the great leadwork and finishing...

Now we need additional insulation inside.
